Stephanie Crowley, LICSW, is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker. Stephanie studied at Catholic University in Washington DC where she got her masters degree in clinical social work. Prior to receiving her MSW she volunteered with adults with intellectual disabilities in Ireland. She has spent much of her clinical career working with Veterans through the Department of Veterans Affairs and in outpatient trauma focused settings. Her experience includes individual and group therapy, assessment, treatment planning, and supporting clients through trauma, adjustment, life transitions, and other mental health concerns.
She is certified in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and has particular experience working with individuals who have experienced trauma, including sexual trauma. She takes a warm, collaborative approach to therapy and believes that a strong therapeutic relationship is an important part of helping clients feel comfortable and supported in their work. Her clinical approach incorporates Cognitive Processing Therapy, poetry and journaling therapy, motivational interviewing, and mindfulness, while allowing treatment to be tailored to each person’s needs and goals.
She values getting to know each client as an individual and understanding the experiences that have shaped who they are. Outside of work, Stephanie enjoys spending time at the beach, watercolor painting, and being with her dog.
