Dr. Martina Azar is a bilingual (Spanish-English) neuropsychologist who completed her doctoral training in clinical psychology at Drexel University. She completed her predoctoral internship and post-doctoral fellowship at VA Boston Healthcare System with special emphases in neuropsychology and geropsychology. She has worked with a variety of English and Spanish-speaking medically and psychiatrically complex individuals, with particular interest in memory and movement disorders.
Her research and clinical practice have mutually informed one another via lens of public health, neuropsychology, and geriatrics, with particular interest in serving and increasing access to brain health education and tools to traditionally underserved groups (e.g., diagnosis, cognitive rehabilitation). She has held leadership, supervision and teaching roles over the years as she enjoys collaborative and dynamic work environments as well as mentoring junior trainees. She holds leadership positions in the Society of Clinical Neuropsychology (Division 40 of American Psychological Association) and Hispanic Neuropsychological Society.
