Dr. Oliveira completed her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology at Antioch University of New England. Her clinical training was broadly focused on the assessment and treatment of children with severe mental health difficulties. Her research has mostly focused on the study of cognitive correlates of childhood psychiatric syndromes, with a particular interest in the relationship between mental illness and executive functions.
Dr. Oliveira completed her pre-doctoral internship at the Institute of Living/Hartford Hospital/Connecticut Children’s Medical Center consortium. There, she received extensive training in providing psychological, neuropsychological, and psychoeducational assessments, as well as individual, group, and family-based therapies for children and adolescents across various medical and psychiatric settings.
Dr. Oliveira then went on to complete a two-year fellowship in pediatric neuropsychology within the Clinical Neuropsychology Specialty Program (CNSP) at the Warren Alpert School of Medicine at Brown University. During her time there she completed clinical rotations at E.P. Bradley Hospital and Rhode Island Hospital, where she obtained further extensive training providing evaluations for children, adolescents, and young adults with various psychiatric, medical, neurodevelopmental, and acquired conditions. Dr. Oliveira is multilingual in English, Slovak, and Czech.
