Experienced Bookkeeper – Administrative/Finance Medical Industry

Role:

This position is a vital role in the company. You will be working with our Director of Finance and Clinical Director throughout the year and help manage and develop our budgets, track our financial status, and reconciliation.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor the day-to-day financial operations within the company
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly management reporting
  • Accounting/Bookkeeping: All financial transactions, including paying bills, invoicing clients, monitoring A/R, claims reconciliations, general ledger maintenance, and management reporting
  • Participate in strategic data analysis, research, and reporting to senior leadership
  • HR: Understanding of Human Resources guidelines and BNS staff/policies
  • Perform many HR tasks such as, but not limited to: credential our clinicians with different insurance companies; onboarding process, add/drop staff from health and dental insurance, ensure COBRA compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements
  • Client Billing: Oversee and monitor clients sent to collection
  • Other tasks as assigned

Qualifications for Financial Accounting Position:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting with 5+ years of experience; will consider 10+ years of experience without a degree
  • Enjoy a fast-paced office
  • Strong organizational and decision-making skills
  • Ability to multi-task and possess excellent business judgment
  • Prior experience in the medical industry and knowledge of claims processing highly desired
  • Ability to synthesize large quantities of complex data into actionable information
  • Ability to work and effectively communicate with senior-level business partners and other stakeholders
  • Positive collegial attitude, strong team player, excellent written/verbal communication skills, and a healthy sense of humor
  • Strong user of Microsoft suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Proficient with Windows and Mac OS
  • QuickBooks – Proficient in QuickBooks, including, but not limited to: AP, AR, understanding classes, issue credits and refunds, recording general journal entries, etc.
