Dr. Ewald earned her doctoral degree in Educational Psychology from the University of Connecticut, where she specialized in School Psychology. Her graduate work involved extensive experience within the public school system, culminating in a predoctoral internship at an alternative therapeutic special education school. There, she provided cognitive, academic, and social-emotional assessment, alongside therapeutic and behavioral interventions for students ranging from preschool through age 21. Dr. Ewald’s research during her graduate studies focused on developing and evaluating interventions to alleviate anxiety disorders and enhance academic and social functioning. She also contributed to work on systems-level improvements, including evidence-based screening practices in public schools and statewide evaluations of school wellness policies.
Dr. Ewald recently completed a two-year postdoctoral fellowship at the Neuropsychological Assessment Clinic in Brighton, MA. This experience provided her with extensive training in conducting patient-centered neuropsychological evaluations across the lifespan. Currently, Dr. Ewald provides neuropsychological assessments for children, adults, and older adults with neurodevelopmental concerns (such as learning disabilities, ADHD, and Autism Spectrum Disorder), co-occurring psychological symptoms (like depression and anxiety), mild cognitive impairment, neurodegenerative conditions, acquired brain injuries, and other neurological issues.
